What else needs to be considered when filling in the form?

What does "online from" and "online until" mean?

  • "online from": you have the option to set a date for the publication of your offer. After receiving a successful confirmation of the referencing to the competence framework, your course is made available in the list of courses - depending on your chosen date of publication. If no specific date is selected, the course will be published immediately.
  • "online until": if you wish that the course should be de-registered from the f4i-catalogue at a certain point in time (i.e. when the course should no longer appear or be listed on the platform), you can set a deadline.

Why do you need to fill in the competence areas both in the tabs "General" and "Seminar check"?

The competence areas in the tab "General" are made available in our f4i-catalogue. Please enter all relevant competence areas in the respective fields. Also, define the competence level that can be achieved after completing the course, i.e. you should indicate the minimum competence level, if there are several to be obtained. The competence areas in the tab "Seminar check" help our team to get a better understanding of your categorisation.

While assigning the competence areas, please consider: a higher competence level does not imply a better class offer. It simply indicates that the course is aimed at participants with prior knowledge or refers to a comprehensive offer (such as a course of studies or distance learning). Moreover, only those competence areas that are given priority in the course should be indicated. The goal is not to list as many areas as possible, but to specify the learning content covered by the course as accurately as possible.

How to describe your course in terms of (intended) learning outcomes

Learning outcomes describe the expected results at the end of a course. They include the level of knowledge to be attained and thus indicate what students should know, understand and be able to do (how, to what extent, at what level). Learning outcomes are output-oriented: What are the expected results at the end of the course?

Learning outcome: After completing module 4, graduates are able to describe the characteristics of blended learning and e-learning and are able to implement these principles in their own work.

What do the single points in the tab “Seminar check” stand for?

The goal is to categorise your educational offer according to the Digital Competence Model for Austria (DigComp AT). As a result, the learning outcomes are set in reference to the six competence areas and eight competence levels of the DigComp AT. In this context, version 2.2. is relevant for you until March 2023 and version 2.3. of DigComp AT is relevant for you from April 2023 onwards. This categorisation (or "referencing") defines the minimum level of competence or learning objectives that can be achieved in your course. Consequently, people who have completed the CHECK “Everyday life digital skills" or any other f4i-tool are able to find suitable offers.

What is meant by "Didactic-methodological implementation in up to five points: Which methods do you apply to promote digital skills among your course participants"?

Describe your teaching methods for promoting and enhancing digital literacy among learners (e.g. lectures, individual exercises, group exercises, presentations by learners, written self-tests, worksheets, course materials, etc.). If relevant, explain any didactic requirements regarding the target group or the course content.
